Shawnna Mullenax uses her expertise in social science methodologies to guide qualitative and quantitative research studies for clients across public, private, and non-profit sectors. With a PhD in political science, Shawnna excels in communicating complex methodological results in clear and compelling ways, utilizing survey and non-survey data from diverse sources and contexts.

Passionate about elevating the voices of underrepresented groups and bridging the gap between research and action, Shawnna has led successful research programs for clients such as the U.S. Census Bureau, Pew Research Center, and Fannie Mae. She is actively involved in the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and has published several peer-reviewed articles on topics including survey response bias, voter decision making, activist strategies, and networking among political elites.
